Black and white pages require review for RGB and CMYK color text and images. The content is screened for placeholders and misaligned text.
Full color pages on a web press are reviewed for small black text that is not set as 100 black. Small text that uses several colors can become hard to read if the printing becomes misaligned. The content is also screened for placeholders and errors.
The cover can be printed on half-webs to be cost effective while using a heavier enamel paper.Â
Proofs of the publications are created with large format printers. The pages are reviewed manually to ensure no errors in placement and alignment.
New templates are created to accommodate specialty sizing.
Perfect bound publications are processed and printed in-house before being shipped to a contractor for binding.
Tabloid publications can use the same paper as the quarterfolds but are laid out, folded, and trimmed differently.
